Originally from Boise, Idaho, Kelsie and her husband moved to Virginia with the Army, and they are absolutely loving the area! Kelsie enjoys meeting new people and helping API’s patients get the smiles they deserve. Your confidence is her priority! When Kelsie isn’t changing the world one smile at a time, she is with her husband and their two “fur pups,” Lily and Nash. The couple enjoys watching movies, traveling to new places, and spending time in their garden.
Torey Baker
Dental Hygienist
Originally from Poquoson, VA, Torey Baker now resides on Fort Monroe in Hampton, VA. With a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Old Dominion University, Torey has dedicated the past seven years to the field of general dentistry, serving as a hygienist.
For Torey, her love of dentistry lies in the opportunity to educate patients about the vital link between oral health and overall well-being. She’s driven by the vibrant community at API, where fantastic coworkers and patients make each day fulfilling. Establishing connections with patients in her hometown has been particularly rewarding as she guides them on their oral health journey.
Beyond her professional life, Torey treasures her time with her boyfriend and their Standard Poodle, Lewis, named after the legendary Formula 1 driver, Sir Lewis Hamilton. Torey loves immersing herself in the thrilling world of Formula 1 racing. Having attended her first F1 race in Monza, Italy in 2023, she dreams of traveling the globe to experience more exciting races firsthand. She also loves building LEGO and holds a dear place in her heart for her family living in southern Florida.
Mirasol Lopez
Dental Surgical Assistant
Mirasol Lopez hails originally from the Philippines but has lived in many diverse locations, including Japan for 14 years and Hawaii for 13 years. Her journey has been as dynamic as her professional endeavors.
In her varied career, Mirasol has delved into different domains, showcasing her versatility and adaptability. She has owned and operated LUXS Auto Detailing business, showcased her nurturing side as a dental assistant and patient coordinator in Hawaii’s medical and dental sectors, and honed her skills as a periodontics assistant at Dental Implant Associates in Honolulu, Hawaii.
What draws Mirasol to the dental field is the profound transformation it brings to patients’ lives. Witnessing the stark contrast between before and after results and the constant evolution and challenges in the field keep her engaged and passionate.
Every day, Mirasol finds motivation in the prospect of learning something new alongside the supportive, familial atmosphere fostered by her colleagues and workplace.
Beyond her professional life, Mirasol cherishes her role as a family woman. She is a devoted spouse to Washington, an F-22 Mission Planner employed by Lockheed Martin, and a proud mother to two children, Kenji and Junji. Their household is completed by the presence of three affectionate American Pitbulls, Prince, Chanel, and Nala, and a lovable cat named Chloe who all bring joy and warmth to their lives.
In her leisure time, Mirasol indulges her love for exploration by traveling to new destinations, capturing the beauty of landscapes through her photography, and navigating the skies with her drone. Her adventurous spirit extends beyond the confines of her profession, enriching her life with experiences and memories.
